But lately people been talking about it, aha BED BUGS, we suppose to flip our matres at least twice a year, or if you are a neat freak like me you'll do it, every month, this prevent the accumulating dust on it, and you also take an exhaustively look at the intricate borders of the matress, because this tiny little nausea provoking bugs are hidden there, I use a sponge with soapy water up and down on it, I vacuum it too, but the most important thing to kill this little creatures is to take the matress to your backyard if you have one, otherwise just take the matress and set it up in a standing position, and make a mix of clorox and water, more clorox than water, and spray all the corners, well the whole matress, and let it dry, I guarantee they'll move to another place.

Unfortunately, it is not the easiest flooring to take care of, marble can become stained, scratched and cracked very easily if not properly maintained.
Daily cleaning and maintenance is essential to the care of marble floors, however, you have to be very careful about what types of cleaning products you use on it. Really, only warm water should be used to mop a marble floor. Any kind of acid, no matter how weak will damage marble, so any cleaning product that has vinegar in it should be carefully avoided. You can also add a tiny amount of ammonia to the water to make a very diluted solution.

The best brand of sponge to use for washing the dishes and general kitchen cleaning depends on you, and may take a little trial and error. Most brands vary little. except in price. I would recommend using a CELLULOSE SPONGE, as they rinse easily as you work, and can be washed in the dishwasher (place them in the silverware caddy so they don't fly around during the cycle). Another helpful hint with sponge is to "COLOR CODE" your sponges, and use one color for each different areas of your home.

MARBLE COUNTERTOP CARE AND CLEANING:

There aren't too many kitchen cleaning products on the market for cleaning MARBLE. Especially since the newest techonology uses peroxide and detergents to penetrate soiled areas. Simply spray a product such as BIO-OX CITRUS CONCENTRATE on the marble countertop, allow it to penetrate for a few minutes, and wipe clean. Baking soda can be sprinkled for more abrasive kitchen cleaning action. Repeat if necessary. Marble can also be cleaned using warm, sudsy water (a mild detergent such as grease cutting dish detergent or laundry detergent is fine) or a solution of borax and water. Thoroughly rinse and buff dry. Also to remove stains from marble, make a paste of baking soda and Hydrogen Peroxide or Baking Soda and BIO-OX CITRUS CONCENTRATE and cover the stain with the paste. Cover the paste with a damp cloth, leave overnight, then wet down and scrub with a non metallic scrubbing pad. Rinse thoroughly. wipe down any spills as they happen so they don't soak in. If this occurs, you'll need to have your countertop professionally rebuffed. Always use a cutting board with a towel underneath it, when working with acid foods such as lemons, vinegar or alcohol (which can damage the natural shine of marble in a matterof seconds)and foods such as beets or red wine (which can discolor the surface. If the water beads, your countertop is maintaining it's seal; but if it soaks into the countertop, consider reapplying the sealant. Always dry the countertop thoroughly after washing the dishes to prevent water damage the marble.

It's unbeliavable! the number of people that hired me to clean their offices with such similiarity: "PAPERS". There's a lot of confused people outthere, CLEANING IS CLEANING, ORGANIZING IS ORGANIZING, there's not such a thing in the world that I can not clean, it's simple; I am careful and use tons of gloves if I have to (yes my own stock), but here's come the common office cleaning factor, they want you to (clean, put away, organize and even file at the same time, I can gladly clean everything that looks dirty in your office, and I can even put away misplaced pens, clips, frames on your desk, but it is impossible for me to reorganize that paper clutter from 6 months ago, here's one of the best tips, at least to start having an organize working space:
SORT YOUR PAPERS: Good grief! throught computers were suppose to reduce the amount of papers we use and create clutter-free work enviroment!
SOLUTION: organization to get started, grab another piece of paper.... and write down FIVE broad categories in your office, try to limit the list to five topics, perhaps you will start with:
"PERSONAL"
"FINANCES"
"MEDICAL", etc, begin sorting through your papers and placing similar objects in on pile, following your list.
Buy a box of MANILA folders, label them according to the subject, then place the papers in appropiate file, according to your categories. VOILA! BETTER..

WHEN going about your regular kitchen cleaning, you don't want to overlook your garbage disposal. Especially if food is scraped into the disposal ehen regurlaly washing the dishes. To clean grease and leftover food from your disposal and sharpen the blades at the same time , sprinkle liberally with baking soda and pour white vinegar over it until bubbles. Let set for ten minutes. Rinse with hot water. Put 2 0r 3 icecubes in the disposal and grind. Rinse again with hot water. Now your disposal is clean and most of all ODOR FREE.

1.-Open the blinds fully before removing them from their window tracking and placing them in the bathtub, if you don't have a bathtub, a child's plastic pool works just as well.
2.-Fill the bathtub with warm water about three quaters of the way full or enough to completely cover the blinds.
3.-Add 1 gallon of white vinegar to the bathwater and swish it around with your hands. the vinegar will corrode the grime on the blinds without eating into the blinds themselves.
4.-Left the blinds soak in the bathwater until the dirt has completely disintegrated. Stir the water to loosen surface dirt from the blinds.
5.-Empty the bathtub and rinse the tub and blinds in cold water. Use the shower or showerhead attachment. Cleaning your bathtub fully after finishing with the blinds is highly recommended.
6.-Allow blinds to dry outside on a large towel in the summer time. During cold weather pat dry blinds using a soft clean towel before hanging back in the window.
7.-Dust blinds weekley to help mantain the blinds and prevent the build up moisture and grime, and old sock on the end of a broom handle is a good way to bet between the slats.

3 WAYS TO CLEAN IT:
BAKING SODA: apply a paste of baking soda and water. Rub rinse, and polish dry with a soft cloth. To remove tarnish from silverware, sprinkle baking soda on a damp cloth and rub ir on silverware until tarnish is gone. Rinse dry well.
ALUMINUM FOIL, BAKING SODA AND SALT: place a sheet of aluminum foil in the bottom of a pan, add 2-3 inches of water, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon salt and bring to a boil. Add silver pieces, boil 2-3 minutes, making sure the water covers the silver pieces. Remove silver, rinse dry, and buff with a soft cloth This method cleans the crevices of silver pieces.
TOOTHPASTE: to clean off tarnish, coat the silver with toothpaste, then run it under warm water, work it into a foam, and rinse it off. For stubborn stains or intricate grooves use and old soft bristled toothbrush.

They are so Warm and cozy in the winter and so miserable to clean in the spring. Foaming bathroom cleaner does a wonderful job on soot, but first saturate bricks with an all purpose cleaner and allow to soak a few minutes.
Throughly spray the bricks with the tub cleaner. Scrub with a stiff bristle brush dipped in Ivory water. Reapply the bath cleaner as needed. If the soot refuses to budge, resort to TSP (trisodium phospate), found in hardware stores. It is toxic and not highly recommended, but it cleans bricks. Keep the room well ventilated, wear gloves and a mask protect your skin carpet and any furniture close by.

Cleaning the good china can turn dishwashing the dishes from a routine kitchen cleaning chore, to one that's more time consuming, as we gingerly handle plates and teacups for fear of breakage.
There's good news through. Most modern china can be washed in the dishwasher using a mild detergent that does not contain lemon or bleach. To prevent breakage, place pieces so that they do not touch each other. Turn your dishwasher on the "china" or "gentle" setting. Once it's clean and dry, allow the china to cool completely before removing from the dishwasher. Certain types of china can become even more fragile when heated. So it's imperative the china cools before storing. For this reason, only warm soapy water should be used when handy washing fine china. use a mild dishwashing liquid. Hand painted, metal trimmed, or antique china should always be hand washed. To protect china when washing the dishes, place a dishtowel or protective mat on the bottom of the sink before begining to clean. If cups have stubborn coffee or tea stains, dip your sponge in some baking soda and rub gently to remove the stain. To protect china during storage, place a coffee filter or paper plate between each bowl or dish before stacking. China should be stored in temperature and humidity controlled areas to protect the glaze. Take your china out of storage at least once a year and wash the pieces to keep impurities from impregnating the glaze and keep the glaze strong.

I know not too many of us have a patio in our homes, but for those who has them, Mold and Mildew is an issue for us to show a well taking care patio sets.
the only way to kill mold and mildew and their pores is to use bleach. You can dilute it in a spray bottle with water, and it should kill the mold without harming the fabric. Try using about 1/2 cup of bleach per gallon of water. Test this one a non visible area first. If the color doesn't run, you can use a color safe bleach.

I'm also a great fan of "Antique Road Show". But let's talk about one item in specific, it could be a table, a credenza or something that you may have for this purpose in your livingroom.
If we're not careful with our beverages, we can cause damage to those things that mean the most to us. Before you put a beverage down on an antique table, be sure to use a coaster or your risk leaving a water mark behind on the wood; if this happened to you, cleaning antique furniture of these marks if you act quickly. You have several options for removing water marks from the wood. Mayonaise left on the stain over night is usually enough to remove stain as is a white, non-gel toothpaste. If you can get to the mark inmediately try to dry it with a hair dryer fast.

TO REMOVE Pet urine stains and odors from wood floors you can use a product such as PAWS (pet accident washup solution). spray paws on the stain and let the paws sit for few minutes. Blot the area with a clean absorbent cloth to remove as much moisture as possible. Cover the area with baking soda and let the baking soda sit overnight to absorb any remain moisture, in the morning weep away the remaining of baking soda. However if the urine has deeply penetrated the wood, there will be no choice but to sand it down and refinish it.

GETTING grease build-up off a kitchen surface (any one) is a heavy task sometimes, but as everyone knows there's a whole varierity of them in the market (green ones and the traditional ones).
I am a cleaning person that had always start my cleaning jobs from kitchen first, unless you ask me to start from other areas of the house. The job should be easy enough with just hard work, heavy duty nylon pad and the degreaser.
A WARNING HOWEVER: depending on how heav the build is and of course the finish in your kitchen, it usually requires bit of elbow grease to get rid of it. The problem is that we have to be careful as I mention before not to ruin the finish of it. Whatever that build-up has latched itself onto. If you are not concerned about the surface, scrub away with a heavy duty nylon pad and a degreaser. If the surface is a concern, forgo the scrubbing pad. Spray the area with a degreaser (testing a small patch for colorfastness first) and clean with a rag dipped in the hottest water a rag dipped in the hottest water possible. wiring out your rag in fresh hot water often and change rags when necessary. If build up is really, really heavy, soak the area on degreaser and scrape off the build up with a putty knife. Then use the heavy duty scrubbing pad and/or the hot rag method.

if YOU HAVE CANDLE SOOT ON YOUR WALLS, you many want to think of moving your candles. They may be to close to your walls. "EUREKA": joke.
You may also want to consider purchasing candles made from beeswax to cut down on soot stains.
*To remove soot stains, you should just use upholstery attatchment on your cacuum and go over thee soot stains this will lift away any residue that still on the walls.
*Add soap to water to a quart of water and mix well.
*Dip a soft sponge or cloth into the liquid and work the clean into a small section of the soot stain. Be careful that your sponge or cloth is not dripping because it can make the soot stain run down the entire wall.

It can be accomplished with several items found in the kitchen. Lemon Juice left to sit on the offending spot for at least 30 minutes should be enough to remove the rust. white vinegar works much in the same manner. TELEVISIONS: When the screen is cool, wipe it with a damp paper towel or microfiber cloth, towel dry. Clean metal or chrome trim and plastic or glass trim doors with a soft moistened with rubbing alcohol, white vinegar or window cleaner, dry with a paper towel.
TELEPHONES: Wipe the handset and base or cradle of the telephone with a damp cloth and all purpose household cleaner, wiring the cloth out well to prevent water from getting into the unit.
COMPUTERS: Never used household glass cleaners on computer monitor screens. Instead use a static-free product made for cleaning monitor screens. Keep static-free covers on the computer and printer when not in use.

How to use it? Mix with water or use liquids full strength according to package directions; generally no rinsing required, except for no-wax floors or when used full-strength.
MOCROWAVE-OVEN: If there's a trurntable, remove it and wash in warm, sudsy water or in the dishwasher, then dry. To clean the interior boil a cup of water inside for 3 to 4 minutes. The condensation will loosen any food soil on the walls or ceiling oven. Then wipe with a damp sponge or cloth, and dry. Never use a comercial oven cleaner or remove the cover in the top of the oven interior for cleaning. To deodorize, wash the interior surfaces every few months with a solution of 1/4 of baking soda to 1 quart of warm water, rinse and dry.
